The Osceola school is a ministry of First Baptist Church in Osceola, which is just 45 miles northeast of St. Paul/Minneapolis in northwestern Wisconsin. It is called the Master’s Warriors and meets every Thursday night in the church great room. The school started in September of 2002 with 12 students. One of those is still with the class. We now have three certified instructors and a registration of 50 students. Twice a year, we host all-day seminars, bringing in premier martial arts instructors from around the globe to train our students.
Our class has conducted outreach demonstrations throughout our area and also participated in the annual city Wheels and Wings parade the weekend following Labor Day.
Past seminar instructors have included Sensei Sara VanDriest (Tennessee), Sensei Steve Walker (Washington), Sensei Paul Tarrant (Indiana) and Sifu John Himes (Japan), Dr. Johnny Russell, Mr. Chris Potter and Mr. David Hyde (Indiana), Professor Allen Sapp (Florida), Sensei Marc England (Indiana) and Sensei Phil Lewis (Michigan)
