Steve Walker was born on September 12, 1977 in Dearborn, Michigan. In 1986 he began his study of the martial arts in Shotokan under the instruction of Gary Piccorillo. Shortly thereafter he began training
under Soke Kent Haralson and has studied under his instruction since. He currently has his 2nd degree in Seigi Bushido Ryu and in the area of weapons he studies Shinkage-ryu Iai. Sensei Walker has been involved in many aspects of the Seigi Bushido Ryu since the early years and has had the pleasure of starting a demonstration team that had the opportunity to preach in many schools, VBS, and other church functions. In January of 2003 he started a dojo in Bremerton Washington at his church running on average 22 every week. Currently Sensei Walker is the Washington State representative, and the Director of communications for the GMAU, and travels several times a year to teach at different clinics and seminars.
Steve has been married for 8 years to his wife Terri, and together they have two daughters, Shelby and Brooklynne. He has 10 years on active duty as a nuc-welder and firefighter in the U.S. Navy and is stationed at IMF Bangor, on the Puget Sound across from Seattle. In his free time he is attending college
while preparing to enter full time ministry shortly after his discharge from the Navy, and has the desire to preach and pastor a church one day.
